He was in my office on Friday25/01/2003 after the bank has stopped attending to customers with some amount of money which he wanted me to use my good office to assist him transfer to his country in United Arab Emirates. But since the bank has closed for customer?s service, I decided to help him to keep it by keeping the money is our strong room until Monday when we will resume duty and then we will be able to process the transfer for him. However as faith will have it little did I know that he would not live up to Monday. I waited for him throughout Monday in my office but he did not turn up, so after work that day, I decided to check on him on my way home only to learnt that he had traveled on a visit to one of his Major friend were he meet his untimely death at the 27th January bombast along with his adopted son . Moreso, right now as I am writing this mail, the sum of US$11,000,000.00 belonging to him is still with us in the bank . I HAVE TRAVELLED TO HIS COUNTRY TO SEE IF I CAN TRACE ANY OF HIS RELATION BUT I WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR THAT HE DID NOT HAVE ANY RELATION BECAUSE HE WAS BROUGHT UP IN A MOTHERLESS HOME. I ALSO GATHERED THAT NO BODY KNOW ANY OF HIS RELATIVES and that his mother abandoned him in a bush part when he was two days old. WHEN I CAME BACK FROM THE TRIP, I DID NOT DISCLUSE MY TRUE FINDINGS TO THEM BECAUSE IF I SHOULD DO SO, OUR MANAGEMENT WILL END UP COLLECTING THE MONEY AND TRANSFER THE WHOLE TO THEIR PRIVATE ACCOUNTS ABROAD . I ENDED UP BY INFORMING THEM THAT I MET THE OWNER (MY FRIEND WHO BROUGHT THE MONEY FOR TRANSFER), AND THAT HE MADE AN UNSCHEDULED TRIP AND UNFORTUNATELY HE HAD A FATAL ACCIDENT ON HIS WAY FROM AIRPORT TO HIS HOME IN HIS COUNTRY AND THAT HE WILL COME OR CALL WHEN HE RECOVERED AND THAT HE HAS INSTRUCTED ME TO INFORM OUR MANAGEMENT TO KEEP THE FUND INTACT FOR HIM TILL HE RECOVERS . NOW I AM WORRIED BECAUSE THEY HAVE STARTED ASKING ME IF AM SURE THE MAN (MY FRIEND) IS STILL ALIVE .
