Do you mean automatically doing a remote login showing the desktop of one of
the computers in CSC like in the 300 rooms?
I use Ubuntu (I as well dual boot XP and Linux), and SSH works fine for me
via the terminal. I just have it saved as a bookmark in Gnome which
automatically gives me access to the network in a file/folder viewing shell
such as Nautilus or the terminal itself, and note that you can run any
graphical program on your own machine thru SSH. So since this bookmark saves
the password and user name, whenever you want to access your stuff it'll
automatically "log you in" as if it were on your local machine.
