Git seems popular with community-driven open source projects (Linux
and XOrg use Git), while Mercurial is popular with corporate-driven
open source projects (OpenJDK uses Mercurial).
I need to sit down and learn one of those two, but all the projects
I'm on (both open source and school projects) use SVN (except for some
that use CVS still ... eew).
