If you have network-manager (likely) then you should just have to select the
appropriate network from the nm applet.  Now, if your wireless card's
drivers aren't included in the kernel, then you may have some work ahead of
you.

We're heading into dead week now (as I'm sure you're aware), so our
collective free time is greatly diminished.  If this isn't a
course-necessary thing, then you might send us a reminder email in a few
weeks, and I'm sure there will be several people willing to sit down and
help.  That's not to say that no one will help you _now_, but don't think
too badly of us if we don't. :)
